My tutorial for a realistic fur brush using photoshop ^_^

This did take me some time, although I am afraid I may not be clear enough in some steps. I apologise for that. Like I said, if any further help is needed note me about it…I am happy to answer any questions (:

For this tutorial I used Adobe Photoshop CS. It is very basic and will most likely be valid to any version of photoshop. I do use a mac and therefore some aspects may differ a little, though this shouldn’t make a difference overall.

(also if there is a better category for this plz state which lol)

Just a note-- this is a basic tutorial...Im sure there are far better fur brushes out there which may require more work. So just bare with me...this is what i use anyway lol

when you nake the brush on step 4, I can never get it thin and gets fatter then thin again (If that makes sense?) It always stays the same thickness..

I'm using CS3 btw...

Very good tutorial, I'm sure it could be adapted for the GIMP or another arts program, but well done! :D

Just a handy tip. On the Shape Dynamics page. If you change the Angle Jitter control to Direction. The fur will follow the direction you drag the brush so no need to rotate the picture :)
